He joined to ABRII-CB at 2003 and started his career as a searcher at Dept. of Plant Tissue Culture. He is experienced in plant tissue culture techniques and collaborated with a group of researcher in ABRII to commercialize production of the potato seed tuber in Iran, from 2003. It is more than ten years that he is managing for preparation of pathogen-free stock plantsof potato’s different varieties for distribution in several private companies. He is now dedicatedinmicropropagationand tissue culture-mediated production of secondary metabolitesandeconomically valuable bioactive compoundsusing hairy root culture in medicinal plants. One of his objectives and interests is implementation of metabolite engineering in medicinal plants.
